To pray and to fast is to change
Luke 4:1,14 “Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert…Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.”
Catalyst Church will be joining our Every Nation Churches worldwide for a 7 day prayer and fast from Monday, January 16 to Sunday, January, 22, 2012. In preparation, we are going to explore why Christians pray and fast and how these spiritual disciplines can change a person’s life. Many of us face trials and challenges beyond our capabilities and are not sure where to turn to for direction. Some people don’t believe prayer works. Others do. For those who are still exploring Christ and desire change in their lives, we are going to delve deeper into Jesus’ life of prayer and fasting and how these spiritual disciplines radically changed history. Bring friends who want to learn more about this important topic. We will break fast together on Sunday, January 22, as a community of faith believing God for great things to come in 2012!
