Is it easier or harder today to love the members of our family? A popular television series “Modern Family” challenges the traditional definition of family. In fact, blended families and alternate living arrangements are part of the fabric of our society and have made the concept of family more flexible, open ended and possibly more challenging. There is someone, however, who more than 2000 years ago also challenged our thinking about family by asking the question “Who is my mother? Who is my brother?” With that, he multiplied the number of people who we come to call our family. How do we deal with the pressures of loving such a diversity and scope of people? This Sunday, we’ll talk about family pressures. Join us at 10:30 a.m. at Sidney Smith Hall, 100 St. George Street, Toronto.
