The Unshakable Life lives in surrender to the Lordship of Jesus
Often the thought of ‘giving in’ conjures up images of defeat. When someone ‘throws in the towel,’ they have, in effect, surrendered to an opponent – a sign of failure. In times of war, when one side surrenders to the other, they acknowledge that they have lost the battle. Is it no wonder that the idea of ‘surrendering’ in the context of faith can make someone feel uncomfortable. “What are you asking me to do?” “What will I have to give up or give in to?” Can anything good come out of surrendering?
