What do you think it takes to get married, stay married, and be happily married? How should we react when we hear that there is no difference between the divorce rate amongst non-Christians and Christians? This means that followers are not really following God’s design for marriage. When we make a covenant at the altar by saying the profound words “‘til death do us part,” God expects us to honour our vow. For one thing, marriage is not a contract – it is a covenant. So there’s got to be a few things we need to consider before we start jumping up and down because we have finally found “the one.” In fact, once you find “the one” is when the real work begins! In God’s Word, Ephesians 5:33 says, “However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” Many of us may wonder if such a thing as “true love” exists. Come join us this Sunday as we learn from God’s Word what “true marriage” is all about. See you at Innis Town Hall, @10:30 a.m.
