The Lord’s Prayer: ADORATION (Thanksgiving Sunday)

The Lord’s Prayer: ADORATION (Thanksgiving Sunday)

Sometimes, lessons for life’s journeys can be found in the most unusual of places. Have you ever noticed how your television remote control is constructed? It has many features –  a play button, a rewind button, a record button. The developer of this device also thought about including… a pause button. Shouldn’t we include this feature in our lives as well?  No matter how busy or difficult our circumstances, we all need to press pause at times. This weekend is Thanksgiving in Canada.  The holiday is a good reminder for us to press pause on all the challenging parts of our lives and consider instead how blessed we really are. This idea of changing our focus from ourselves and our problems to God and his goodness fits well with this week’s theme on “Adoration” as we continue our series on The Lord’s Prayer. Please join us on Sunday, and bring along a friend, to one of our two services:10:30 AM at Innis Town Hall, Downtown Toronto; or 2:30 PM at World Vision Center in Mississauga.
