Why is it that some people do not like to ask for directions? Psychologists have come up with a few reasons for this behaviour. For one thing, it would mean having to admit that you are lost. And this could lead to feelings of anxiety and doubt about your abilities. No one likes to feel lost. It can happen in any number of ways. You could reach a crossroads in your education and wonder if you chose the right field to study. You may have trouble finding a job in your specialty and wonder if you are in the right profession. Or think back to childhood; after trying on your first pair of skates, you may have had dreams of becoming a hockey player, only to become aware of your limitations as you grew older. Whether you are at the start of an adventure or contemplating several possible directions in life, how do you know which way to go? Join us this Sunday @ 10:30 a.m. at Innis Town Hall for a fresh perspective on this important question: Where am I going?
