Faith & The Marketplace – Part 1: Golden Rule Transactions

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”  This is commonly referred to as The Golden Rule and it offers advice on how we are to treat others. You may even know that this saying was first spoken by Jesus as recorded in the Bible.  But how does this apply to our interactions in the marketplace today, say, when we exchange money for a purchase? Do we expect businesses to practice The Golden Rule when they deal with us? How does one live this out in a business context?
