God of this City – Part 5 – God of Second Chances

A second chance…a big surprise… the city changed: There is virtually nothing any of us can do to make God forget about us.  We may choose to run away from Him or to fall deeper into sin, but we are never far from His mercy and grace. Take it from someone who knows. Jonah was a man who knew what God wanted but ran in the opposite direction. Jonah knew he was being stubborn and determined to getting his own way.  What we learn is that even when we don’t deserve it, God restores us; He brings us back into a relationship with Himself.  How does that happen?
