Many among us can remember the day we became a Canadian citizen. The final step takes place during a ceremony where we take an oath of citizenship much like the following: “I swear (or affirm) that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada and fulfill my duties as a Canadian citizen.” We pledge to be “faithful.” The dictionary defines faithfulness as being “worthy of trust or belief; reliable; remaining true, constant or loyal.” Is it possible to stay faithful in today’s society? In the midst of uncertainty, a volatile economy, and rocky relationships, how do you not lose heart? Join us this Sunday @ Innis Town Hall @ 10:30 a.m. to hear of a person who is consistent, always present and is faithful even when others are not.
