Is this a True or False statement: People like change. If you think false, you are probably in the majority, but the real answer is true, otherwise people would not be so interested in initiating change to make things better, or to improve themselves. It’s not the change itself that people don’t like, it’s usually the uncertainty associated with the change. The fear of the unknown drives a lot of people to resist change; it can be a place of inconvenience and discomfort. But can we stop it? With summer coming to an end, changes are taking place in our lives. Kids are off summer break, students are moving back into campus dorms, Toronto traffic seems to get worse (if that is even possible!), and leaves begin to change colour as the weather gets colder. How do you react to change? This Sunday we start a new series on “World Changers” that will help you to think about change in a new light. It all starts at Innis Town Hall @10:30 a.m. See you there.
